How to use virtual classes

Virtual classes can be used for optimal differentiation.

When to use the virtual classes:

You want to create level groups with students from different classes (e.g. for cross-group work).

You can use virtual classes to differentiate within regular classes. You can differentiate based on level by putting students who are working on different levels in different virtual classes.

You can schedule tests and set goals for virtual classes in the same way as regular classes.

Then create the virtual classes as an administrator.

If you want to create level groups within one class. Then you can also do this as a teacher.

Create new virtual class

A.D.1 GROUP BREAKING (ADMIN):

As an administrator, create a virtual classroom and add one or more teachers.

To create a new virtual class, go to the class list on the Teaching  page and choose 'New virtual class'. You will see a pop up window where you can enter a name for the virtual class and choose the students you want to put in the virtual class and select teachers who will see the virtual class in their overview.

A.D.2. WITHIN ONE CLASS (TEACHER):

To create a new virtual class, go to Teaching and choose " New Virtual Class" under Classes. In the pop-up window that then appears, you can enter a name for the new virtual class and select the students you want to place in the virtual class.

Note: Virtual classes created by you will only be visible for you. Other teachers can create their own virtual classes.
