How does Holmwoods use Artificial Intelligence (AI)?

Holmwoods makes limited use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). AI is used solely to support students in their learning experience. At present, AI is used for the following purposes:

Text-to-Speech

Holmwoods uses AI to convert on-screen text into spoken audio. This feature is designed to support students, particularly those with dyslexia, by making learning materials more accessible.

Automatic Assessment of Speaking Exercises

Holmwoods uses AI technology provided by an external supplier to automatically assess speaking exercises. The AI evaluates the student's speaking skills and provides immediate feedback.

Speaking exercises must be completed with a passing grade; however, they are not used as part of any tests or examinations. In addition, teachers can choose to skip these exercises at any time.
