To set a goal for one or more of your classes, go to Teach and click the + button next to Goals.
You can choose from two types of goals. If you want your students to pass a fixed number of exercises, choose 'Number of exercises'. If you want them to complete a certain (percentage of a) unit, choose 'Point in course'.
After choosing the type of goal, set a due date, choose the number of exercises students will need to pass or the unit and the percentage of the unit students need to complete and select the classes you want to set the goal for.
Tick the 'Inform students' box to notify students of the new goal. They will see the goal in their profiles.
Note: A 'Point in course' goal will only apply to students who are currently in the unit you set the goal for!
If you are using English Essentials, you can set a number of exercises students need to pass.
Select the start and end date, the number of exercises students need to pass and the modules the goal will apply to. Note: Students will have to complete the set number of exercises for each of the selected modules.
Finally, select the classes you want to set the goal for. Tick the 'Inform students' box to notify students of the new goal. They will see the goal in their profiles.
